First was the task of each artist submitting their preferred song to re-do & insure that none of the artists were covering the same songs. The song chosed by Kawaihae was "Norwegian Wood (This bird has flown)". We were already used to playing this song, since we'd play it live during Vance's giveaways. He's promote our sponsors NSU & Hawaii Water while Jimbo, Jeff & Scott would play it as an instrumental.

The recording was taken place at Pioneer LDC Studio in Ebisu on 2/11/03. During this time we were in the middle of recording our 2nd album but we made time in our schedule for this project. This track opens with the groove of Scott's bass & guest Rio De Aguas Calientes' percussion
(he also contributed to "Touch of Grey").
Also interesting is Jeff's use of the slide on his uke. Listen for his slide-playing which occurs thoughout this song.

Many of our arranging ideas occur in the studio & this was especially easy with our 1st use of Pro Tools.
